Doug Williams is a veteran of the Columbia marketplace since 1988 and an industry veteran since 1979 graduating that same year from the Carolina School of Broadcasting in Charlotte.
From 1979 to 1988 Doug worked in both radio and television in Charlotte, Washington, and Wilmington. Doug worked with then Gamecock Radio as an air personality and Production Director from 1988-1993. Doug was made an offer to create and manage the BET Radio Network in Washington, D.C. from 1993-1997.
From 1997-2000 Doug returned to Columbia to work with Clear Channel Radio and is now Program Director and Afternoon Drive personality for Citadel Broadcasting's Kiss 103.1. Both the station and Doug’s show are always highly ranked with adults 25-54.
Doug formed QBP Media in 1988, which specializes in custom imaging and consulting for Radio and Television, and producing commercials or jingles for clients. You can hear QBP Media’s work on stations in Philadelphia, Detroit, Miami, Washington, Atlanta, and Charlotte. One of Doug’s special talents is product endorsment. Here’s a list of satisfied clients
